Help Make Our Yearbook Great!
Do you have photos of your child taken at school that you can share with the Yearbook? The best photos are of a group of 3-4 Andrews students looking at the camera (with high resolution). We have deadlines (TBD) to meet, so be sure to upload them at the earliest possible convenience. Some of the events are like 'First day of school', 'Dot Day', 'Walk to School', etc.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for a direct link to upload photos.
Yearbooks Available for Purchase
The 2018-19 Andrews Yearbook is available for purchase online. The Yearbooks will be distributed at the end of the school year.

Our annual Reflections Art Contest is coming!
From the Texas PTA: Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.
With positive recognition as the focus of this program, rather than competition, students of all ages and abilities can experience the benefits of creative expression and help in finding their own voice in telling their unique story.
Started in 1969 by Mary Lou Anderson, then Colorado PTA President, Reflections has grown to be one of the largest nationwide programs of its kind, with more than 200,000 students participating annually.
Thank you to Deepa Shenoy for volunteering to coordinate this contest at Andrews.
We collect Box Tops!
If you see this symbol on items you purchase, please clip them and send them with your child to school (make sure they are not expired). It may be easiest to save them for a week or so before sending them in. Be sure to place them in a plastic ziploc bag to prevent them from getting lost. Thank you!
Thank you to Sonia Ahuja for volunteering to help us with this program!
What is PTA? Why Join PTA?
The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school. But there are many more PTA advantages:
There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school.
Discover Great Resources
The PTA offers a variety of programs designed for parents (Parent Education Seminars) as well as students (Assemblies, Author Visits, Red Ribbon Week motivational speakers).
Tap into a Network
PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building rapport and discussing issues that are on your mind. YOU can share ideas, concerns, and experiences. YOU can help make the school a better place!
Watch Yourself Grow
By volunteering with your PTA, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a noble cause—your child and all children in the community.
PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child’s school.
By getting involved at your child’s school you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. Local PTAs play an important role by supporting building improvements through advocacy and play an important role in fundraising for curriculum based programs and social events.
Be a Role Model
By becoming a PTA member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
Enjoy Substantial Benefits
Individuals and local units can take advantage of a host of benefits from PTA membership including discounts and offers from member benefits providers and sponsors, magazine subscriptions, leadership training, e-newsletters and much more.
For less than 3 cents a day, you can become a PTA member, joining more than 4 million other people who share your interest in issues affecting children. Everyone—parents, educators, students and other citizens active in their schools and communities—is invited to join our not-for-profit parent association.
