Attention all parents and students!


This year, we are kicking off our first ever #ANDREWSSPIRITCHALLENGE!


We would like every student at Andrews to have our brand new 2018-2019 spirit shirt. These shirts will be worn:

  • every Friday - for our Andrews Spirit Fridays
  • every field trip - so we can easily identify and keep your little Andrews Eagle safe!

We are also selling an Andrews Zippered Hooded Sweatshirt in one of these 8 fabulous colors! These are great when it is cool in the school building, and during the winter months!



Parents - come visit the school on these dates to receive more information from your child's teachers. The meeting is held in the school gym.

  • Parent Portal - Complete PISD forms MUST be filled out before you receive your child’s teacher assignment. On the Parent Portal home page, you will find information about PASAR, PayPams for school lunch, District calendars, etc. Don't forget to Scroll down to the blue box that says eNews. Click “Login to eNews" and choose Andrews.
  • School Supplies - Lists for shopping if you still need to purchase supplies.
  • Volunteer Background Check - this is REQUIRED to volunteer for all school events including: General Volunteering, Class Parties, Field Trips and many other fun activities you’ll want to be a part of with your child!

 Hawaiian Falls Day - POSTPONED!


Due to the weather, we just received notice from the Plano PTA that the Hawaiian Falls day scheduled for today, August 11th has been postponed.


The new date is now September 2.



* Those who have shown or do show up today, will get a rain voucher for the new date and their PTA will get credit for the tickets. 

* The water park will close at 6 pm today and a sign will be posted on the gate informing anyone who comes after that to come back on September 2.

* Those who have already sent in their reservation will be held for the September 2 date. No charge will appear on their credit card until that date, so they should plan to bring the card with them even if they sent it in the email.

* The hours for the September 2 event will be the same as originally scheduled for today. The park will open for normal business at 10:30 am and close at 6 pm. Our private party will start at 6:30 pm and end at 9:30 pm. NO SCHOOL on September 3 (Labor Day), so everyone should be able to stay and enjoy the evening!

Park re-opens for a PTA private party: 6:30-9:30pm - use your wristband to re-enter.

  • $15 - Park admission
  • $20 - Park admission with unlimited drink
  • $25 - Park admission with unlimited drink and a walk up meal
  • $10 - Coolers with non-commercial food
  • Children under 2 years old - FREE

During the private party (6:30-9:30pm), each PTA receives access to:

  • a cabana to decorate with school spirit
  • FREE Wi-Fi (In case you want to pre-sell school supplies or spirit items.)
  • a chance to endter the private party first
  • fun with friends and neighbors! :)

After School

Chess Program – FALL 2018 SessionBeginner/Intermediate & Advanced




Lisa Nolte and Jennifer Thompson will be teaching the AFTER SCHOOL CHESS PROGRAM for Beginners & Intermediates every Tuesday starting August 28, 2018 (except October 9 and November 20) until December 11, 2018 and for Advanced players every Thursday, starting August 30, 2018 (except October 11 and November 22) until December 13, 2018 from 2:45 PM to 4:00 PM. (a total of 14 classes.)  The FALL Term fee is $265. There are no refunds for classes missed due to student injury or illness, voluntarily leaving the Chess program or PISD closing Andrews. Enrollment is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.   

Forms and checks made out to Lisa Nolte for $265 must be received to reserve your child’s spot.

The classes will be taught by Lisa Nolte and Jennifer Thompson using the Mordente Method throughout the year.  Mrs. Jennifer Thompson has a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology with a specialty working with children with different abilities.  Mrs. Lisa Nolte is a licensed Texas Elementary School teacher with an endorsement in Special Education. These teachers have over 20 years of regular and special needs teaching experience.

We will be having our first Spirit Night of the school year on Tuesday, August 28th from 5:00 - 9:00 PM. This is a great chance to come visit with friends and several of our Andrews Teachers while supporting the PTA. More details soon!
