Why YOU should get involved

Volunteering is not required of any PTA member. However, we do encourage you to get involved in however your time and talents allow. We always need your help, and so do your children. It's a Fact: Kids do better when parents are engaged in their learning. Independent studies show that no matter their income or background, students with involved parents are more likely to have higher grades and test scores, attend school regularly, have better social skills, show improved behavior, and adapt well to school.. Get involved TODAY!

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Please take a look at the PTA volunteer opportunities, indicate what events/activities interest you, and we’ll contact you to discuss further. Volunteering doesn’t need to be a huge time commitment. There are PTA tasks that can be performed in the evenings, during the day or that don’t even involve coming to the school at all.  

It is a Plano ISD requirement that all volunteers have an approved volunteer application (background check) on plano.voly.org. Create a volunteer account today so you may volunteer at Andrews as needed! Information is available on the district website: PISD Volunteer Application
